Welcome back to Rollins! I hope you each had a relaxing and rewarding summer! I’m ecstatic to be back on campus, and I’ve already noticed an amazing enthusiasm and sense of community in just the first few days. As you may have heard, some exciting changes took place this summer. There are two new centers: the Center for Leadership and Community Engagement as well as the Center for Inclusion and Campus Involvement. This is very exciting because these two areas will focus their collective efforts on providing opportunities for service, social justice, and leadership development.
We are also in the midst of a Presidential Search. I am honored and delighted to represent the student body on the search committee. I am committed to understanding our individual objectives and gaining a shared vision for the future of the College. Over the course of this year, I will be keeping students informed through weekly Student Government Association meetings as well as various media outlets. If you are interested in staying informed and contributing ideas, opinions, or campus concerns, I encourage you to attend SGA meetings on Wednesdays at 7pm in the Bieberbach & Reed Conference Rooms of the Cornell Campus Center. We plan to hear from some of the leading faculty, staff, and members of the Board of Trustees. Everyone is always welcome!
This will be a pivotal year for student success. We have the opportunity to create the future of Rollins College. We have been given an enormous opportunity and responsibility. In this year full of challenge and prospect, I am proud to serve the student body. I look forward to working with all of you to understand your aspirations and achieve your goals. I am always available to correspond through email at email@example.com, and please feel free to reach out. I wish all of you happiness and the best of luck as we begin this amazing year.
